Official descriptions and our comparison suggestions are presented separately. These notes are not a complete binary coverage audit or a benchmark across all environments.
The official project offers nine weights, a variable version, and separate JP and Std families. This page’s preview settings do not represent the entire distribution. For Japanese work, consult the JP guidance and check the required characters.
Our exercise puts an action label, a price, and a two-sentence error in one layout. A short button fitting does not settle numeral width or paragraph wrapping. Keep the text and viewport fixed, change one available weight at a time, and record whether the next action remains obvious.
Check that the requested weight actually loaded. A heavier appearance alone does not prove that the matching file is present. For a variable version, match the official family name and configuration. Compare loading states for clipped content, and try size and spacing to distinguish headings from body text.
